On Thursday evening the NFL released the 2017-18 regular-season schedule, with the reigning Super Bowl champion New England Patriots hosting the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, Sept. 7.
The Los Angeles Rams open up their season on Sunday, Sept. 10, when they host the Indianapolis Colts. The Rams Week 2 matchup is also a game to note, as they host the Washington Redskins. Rams rookie head coach Sean McVay served as the offensive coordinator for Washington before coming to Los Angeles.
Week 3 marks the Rams’ only Thursday night game, as they travel to the division rival San Francisco 49ers. Not only is it their only Thursday night game, but it is their only primetime game the entire season as all their other games are on Sunday at either 10 a.m., 1:05 p.m. or 1:25 p.m. Pacific time.
In 2017 they are set to face the entire NFC East, so in addition to hosting the Redskins they also host the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14, while they travel to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4 and to the New York Giants in Week 9.
The Rams play on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve this year, as they are in Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans on Dec. 24, and at home to close out the season against the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 31.
