Despite not having a first round pick due to the trade that landed Jared Goff in last year’s draft, the Los Angeles Rams still had a very productive 2017 draft as they addressed a variety of needs, selecting eight players and adding 11 more as undrafted free agents.
The Rams used their first selection in the 2017 NFL Draft, a second round pick on South Alabama tight end Gerald Everett. They then continued to improve their offense by taking Eastern Washington wide receiver Cooper Kupp in the third round, while also taking Boston College defensive back John Johnson to improve their secondary.
Five more players were taken on Day 3 of the draft, as the Rams two picks in the fourth round were spent on Texas A&M wide receiver Josh Reynolds and Eastern Washington outside linebacker Samson Ebukam. They had two more picks in the sixth round that brought Tulane defensive tackle Tanzel Smart and Virginia Tech fullback Sam Rogers to Los Angeles. The final pick made by the Rams was Pittsburgh outside linebacker Ejuan Price in the seventh round.
Just one day after the draft the Rams have already agreed to sign 11 undrafted free agents, via Nate Bain of TheRams.com:

Reynolds played in 38 games in three years at Texas A&M. He caught 164 passes for 2,788 yards and 30 touchdowns. His senior season was his best, as he caught a career-high 61 passes for 1,039 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Ebukam had 63 total tackles and 20 sacks in three years at Eastern Washington. In 2016 he had a career-high nine sacks to go along with two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and an interception.
The addition of Smart also adds to an already strong defensive line. In four years at Tulane, Smart had 183 total tackles, 39.5 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks.
Rogers was added to the mix to help open up holes for Todd Gurley, as the team was without a true fullback in 2016.
Price, the team’s final selection, had 143 tackles and 29.5 sacks in four years at Pitt. He had a very impressive 13 sacks and three forced fumbles in his senior season.
Included in the 11 undrafted free agent signings is two local players, defensive back Ishmael Adams out of UCLA and USC running back Justin Davis.
